Pebble & Splosh · Episode 3 · about 8 min · Ages 3–6

The Big Blue Aquarium

Grandpa Shellby takes Pebble and Splosh to the Big Blue Aquarium, where Octavia the octopus teaches them the helper rule: "Stop! Stay! Find a star!" When Splosh lets go of Pebble's paw to follow a sparkly fish, he ends up all alone in the glass tunnel. He's scared, but he remembers exactly what to do.

  • Staying safe
  • Finding a helper
  • Staying calm

Talk about it together

For grown-ups, after watching.

The lesson: Stay close to your grown-up. If you ever get lost, stop, stay where you are, and find a helper.

  • What did Splosh do when he got lost? Why is it good to stay in one place?
  • Next time we go somewhere new, let's look for the helpers together. What do they wear?

Try this at home

Five minutes, nothing special needed.

Spot the helpers

Next time you visit a shop, museum or park, play "spot the helper" together: look for the people in uniforms or name badges who work there. Then practise Splosh's rule out loud, "Stop! Stay! Find a star!", and check that your child knows your name to tell a helper.

Shout along!

Little ones love joining in with these.

  • Stop! Stay! Find a star!
  • Ready... steady... NO SPLOSHING!
  • Is THAT a star? NOOOO!
  • Ready... steady... SPLOSH!
