Toffee & Zip · Episode 3 · about 7 min · Ages 3–7
Zip at the Zoo
Toffee and Zip spend the day at Sunny Hill Zoo, where Keeper Roo the kangaroo teaches them the zoo rule. Zip wants to see everything at once, so she keeps zooming ahead, and then she's lost. Running around only makes her more lost. To be found, the fastest capybara in the world has to stand still.
- Staying safe
- Finding a helper
- Listening
Talk about it together
For grown-ups, after watching.
The lesson: If you get lost: Stop! Stay! Find a helper! Standing still helps people find you.
- What did Zip do so that she could be found?
- Who are the helpers at places we visit, and what would you tell them?
Try this at home
Five minutes, nothing special needed.
Practise the zoo rule
Play a game at home: when you say "Lost!", your child does the actions: "Stop!" (paw up), "Stay!" (feet planted), "Find a helper!" (look around and wave). Then practise saying their full name and what their grown-up looks like.
Shout along!
Little ones love joining in with these.
- Stop! Stay! Find a helper!
- He's right there!
- That's not Toffee!
- Zip-zip-ZOOM!
